Before co-founding NEXTOIL, Dr. Chen served in a number of executive, management and engineering positions with ROC oil, Formosa, Ryder Scott and QRI. Dr. Chen led hundreds of field development and reserves projects from giant oil fields in Middle East and Latin America to unconventional resources in the US. Dr. Chen also led numerous A&D teams participating in multi-billion dollar transactions. Dr. Chen is a licensed petroleum engineer in State of Texas and co-authored numerous technical papers.

Dr. Christman is an expert in Reservior Engineering and manangement with over 35 years of experience in upstream oil and gas. He served as the technical excellence manager for Shell Exploration and Production, where he led a virtual team of 30 subsurface experts in Houston, Calgary and Denver. Dr. Christman has been working on unconventional reservoirs for more than 20 years, going back to Shell’s first horizontal well in the Bakken (1990) and early efforts to develop the Antrim gas shale in Michigan (1991).

Ms. Luzardo provides project assurance, guidance and expertise to a variety of clients ranging from startups to Majors and NOCs. She was lead scientist and supervisor of Lonza and Genentech in charge of advanced statistics, data analytics, process design, intelligence and optimization. Ms. Luzardo is a results-driven leader who accelerates customer success, delivers implementation results with high client satisfaction and a showcase of successful project delivery. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
